A Certified sound engineer and a maestro in his craft.

Journey:
Carel’s journey to excellence began at his church in 2013, where he started as a junior tech. At the age of 18, Carel’s path converged with Chris Serfontein, a mentor and industry veteran. Recognizing his potential, Chris Serfontein not only imparted industry wisdom but also became a mentor and life advisor, he took Carel under his wing throughout his studies that began in 2015, Carel freelanced for Chris and various companies, honing his skills and accumulating valuable experience in mixing bands, engineering, sound systems and RF, and has been making waves in the audio industry since.

Carel’s journey took him from mixing for notable artists like Ricus Nel and Dewald Wasserfall to delving into technical sales, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of sound equipment. After almost three years, he returned to his true passion, sound engineering.

Expertise:
Armed with a 3-year diploma in Audio Technology from the Academy of Sound Engineering in 2018. Carel’s dedication was recognized when he was awarded top student in Live Sound Reinforcement last year, showcasing his prowess in the field. Holding Protools Level 3 and Smaart V8 certifications, Carel is not just a sound engineer; he’s a certified maestro in his craft.

Passion:
Beyond the soundboards and mixing consoles, Carel’s passions include the great outdoors—camping, Bushfield’s, swimming, and archery. However, his deepest passion lies in using his sound expertise for a higher purpose, expressing his devotion through his work for God.

Collaborative Spirit:
A prophecy was made by Carel whilst working alongside Chris: “One day, we will build a company together.” Almost eight years later, that day has arrived
